WORKING HOURS

For Daily Visit, confinement lady will come to your house daily. Come in the morning and will go back in the evening. She will arrive while your husband is going to work. And when your husband finished work, she’s done for the day. Suitable for those who want more personal time with family at night.

For Stay In, confinement lady will stay together with you in the house until the confinement period is over. Suitable for those who are not used to stay alone, more so to handle a baby at night.

You are not alone. You will get a pantang companion.

BABYSITTING HOURS

For Daily Visit, babysitting till the evening.

For Stay In, the babysitting period stretched till night.

Do not under-estimate when your baby gets cranky. You will be tired physically and mentally. With babysitting service, the confinement lady will take care when the baby cries non-stop or having difficulty to sleep.

Here’s the Frequently Asked Questions about our Malay confinement packages.

MOTHERCARE

Who will prepare all the herbs for param, pilis, tapel, herbal drinks, bath and massage oil for mom?

You have to prepare or buy one post natal set e.g Tanamera Postnatal Set. The therapist will bring the equipment of treatment.

Do I have to buy my own bengkung?

If you subscribe to the package that comes with the free Set Bersalin Tanamera, you don’t have to buy because it is already included. Otherwise, you have to buy your own bengkung for the treatment. However, we would always suggest you to buy another set so that you can rotate due to hygiene purposes.

Do I have to prepare all the tungku materials?

No, the therapist will bring their own tungku materials.

I would like to know in advance, what preparation is required for the therapist when she steps in my house?

After you have made the payment (50% upfront booking deposit), please request to meet our representative at your convenience location (either office or resident), to discuss your needs and requirement. Alternatively, you are most welcomed to visit our office during business days for the purpose. At the moment, the consultation service is covered for Klang Valley customers only. For customers who are based outside Klang Valley, fret not, we will keep in touch with you to ensure everything is in place. We can also use Google Hangout or Zoom for virtual meeting.

What are the materials required so that I could prepare in advance before the date of delivery approached?

In general, all materials are covered. But please ensure there is a comfortable place for massage area. If your confinement package includes pantang food, please make sure raw material and equipment for cooking is prepared and keep safe in the fridge. If needed, please get your “List to Prepare” from our customer services.

After I deliver the baby, when can the confinement treatment starts?

For normal delivery, the treatment can start soonest 7 days after you have delivered the baby.

I just had a Caesarean. When can I start the confinement treatment and ‘ikat bengkung’?

For Caesarean case, it may take longer depending on the health condition of the mother. But in general, treatment like massage and tungku (hot stone therapy) can start after 10 days. Same goes with ‘ikat bengkung’.

In my own house, where is the massage session should take place?

Please allocate a comfortable floorspace for therapist to conduct the massage session, preferably in a room. Please also ensure a privacy between you and therapist that during the session. Take note that the massage session is not open to any family members to interfere or view. We do not encourage massage session in the living room even there is no other family members around, to protect aurat. The aurat is part of the body of a Muslim woman, which must be covered from the public.

The treatment has started. But in the middle, I need to skip the treatment because of some unexpected problem. So, I have to postpone treatment. Can I continue the treatment later?

Yes, can. But it must be finished within 6 months only. After that, the postponed treatment will be automatically canceled.

BABYCARE

For baby bath, massage and tuam (poultice), who will prepare the toiletries?

Based on our experience, parents prefer to prepare their own toiletries for baby, among others, safe baby wash and massage oil. For tuam (poultice), it will be prepared by the therapist.

My confinement package includes mothercare and babycare treatment. Can I start the mothercare treatment first, while waiting for my baby to discharge due to jaundice?

No, the treatment should start after baby discharged from hospital.

What is the working hours for PantangPlus’ therapist?

For Daily Visit, session starts from 9am – 5pm. Whilst for Stay In, session starts from 8am – 8pm.

What is the age range of PantangPlus' therapists?

Our therapists’ age range is between 28 to 60 years old.

How experienced are PantangPlus' therapists?

We select therapist who has minimum 3 to 5 years of experience.

Are your therapists locals? Are they Malaysian?

Yes, our therapists are 100% Malay Muslim. And of course, they are all Malaysian.

Any imported therapists from Indonesia or other countries?

No, we do not have Indonesian therapists. We understand your needs. Malaysians are comfortable with locals only. As such, our therapists are all Malaysian citizen.

Do you provide confinement services with Chinese confinement ladies?

Sorry, at this moment, we do not have any Chinese confinement ladies. But do contact us so that we can connect you with our partners.

The therapists, are they trained and certified?

Yes, all therapists must have massage and traditional confinement practices skill certification from qualified academy. Most of our therapists hold Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) which is a national standard qualification for post-natal therapist.

Do you interview and screen them?

Of course. All therapists will go through PantangPlus’ rigid interview and screening process. We will also randomly test their massage skills and other confinement practices.

Do therapists have an agreement with PantangPlus?

Yes, therapists must sign agreement with us. The agreement needs to be renewed yearly. In the agreement, it detailed out all the terms and conditions between all parties.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Who will cook the pantang food?

Pantang food will be cooked by our therapist.

Who will buy the ingredients for the pantang food?

You have to prepare all raw ingredients such as fish, vegetables, onions etc, that suits your taste. Please refer to the menu guide that is given to you for free.

Is the food halal?

Yes, definitely. It’s cooked by our Muslim therapists.

Do you serve non-halal food?

No, we only serve halal food.

How about the portion for the pantang food?

We will cook two (2) portion for your lunch and dinner based on food pyramid guide.

Can you cook for my family too?

We will only cook confinement menu for mothers. Please inform us in advance should you need our therapists to prepare bigger portion with same menu as pantang menu.

What if I have an allergic on certain food?

For allergic cases, you must specify what type of food that causes allergic. During confinement, our meal preparation does not include the followings: seafood, eggs, nuts, tropical fruits, sweet tooth desserts etc. Hence you must state if you are on gluten-free diet, vegetarian, non-dairy diet etc. It is important for us to know what causes the allergy so that we could inform our therapist to prepare suitable menu, to be made special for you.

How much is the booking fee?

Our booking fee is RM500 only and non-refundable. Pretty affordable, right?

Can I pay using credit card?

Yes. You are most welcomed to visit our office and make the payment using credit card. Otherwise, you can always use online transfer.
